Welcome to Stockton Camera Club
Stockton Camera Club - & Coronavirus
In view of the ongoing pandemic we will not have the normal club meetings at Elmwood
for the foreseeable future. In order to keep the club together, and everyone safe,
we are proposing to hold some online meetings using the Zoom software. Zoom is free and
easy to use, you can download it from here - https://zoom.us/ If you use it on a tablet, iPad
or smart phone, that has a built in camera, you will be seen by all who take part,
however you can still use it on a PC that doesn't have a built in camera,
still take part in a Zoom meeting see and hear everything but your face won't be seen.
We will have competitions this year with PDI entries ONLY.
All judges have been booked and will take part using Zoom software
We will NOT hold the "Norton Tankard" this year.
We will be updating the website as soon as we have more information it but in the meantime . . . .
take care and stay safe everyone.
* New members to the club are always welcome *
If you enjoy photography – whether taking photographs or simply looking at them, why not come along to our Club?
We have people of all levels of expertise as members, both experienced and novice photographers. No matter what your favourite subject matter or the equipment you use, be it medium format or compact camera, film or digital, if you enjoy taking or looking at photographs, or want to become more proficient at taking them, you will find something to interest you.
We have a full and varied programme of meetings throughout the year including illustrated talks by leading photographers and competitions where independent judges give advice on our efforts.
Members are encouraged to show their images and to demonstrate new techniques or share problems encountered when trying to enhance those "difficult" images. Many of our more experienced members give help on the various methods of enhancing images by digital means.
The club members welcome everyone who comes along. The Elmwood centre is open from 7.00 with a 7.30 start. The sessions finish at 9.30 with a ten minute tea break. We look forward to meeting you.
